Second-half substitute Joel Sterling struck twice yesterday to hand Clarendon College a come-from-behind 2-1 win over ten-man Hydel High in the ISSA-FLOW Super Cup round-of-16 at Sabina Park. Hydel’s leading scorer, Nicholas Nelson, fired the St Catherine school ahead in the 22nd minute, however, Sterling, who has been sidelined with injury since the third game of the daCosta Cup season, slammed home the equaliser six minutes from time before adding the winner in the second half of extra time for the defending rural champions. Sterling, who was netting his seventh goal in five matches this season, said they never doubted they would win. “It (win) was expected, so it’s just the same feeling during and after (game) … . I always knew I could go on the field and do my best, and this (double strike) is normal,” he told The Sunday Gleaner. Hydel were reduced to ten men in the 90th minute when midfielder Howard Morris was ejected for a second caution. The first period of extra time failed to produce any real chances and it was a similar situation in the second half, until a moment of real brilliance from captain Seigel ‘Pele’ Knight. Clarendon’s Player of the Season in 2014, Knight, picked up a pass in the centre circle, eluded a tackle before slipping a beauty of a through pass into the path of Sterling, who made no mistake. “I saw the pass from way back, but I wasn’t sure if I should do it on the cricket pitch because I was sliding, but it went through and I was really happy,” Knight said afterwards. Winning coach, Paul ‘Tegat’ Davis, said they were always confident, and a few adjustments and the introduction of Sterling did the trick. “They (Hydel) got their chances and didn’t use them, but we knew we would get chances too, and we have this guy (Sterling) that can score goals and he came on and did wonders,” Davis commented.
Yet another Tesla Model 3 owner that’s beyond enamored with his purchase.Yes, there are a grand slew of Tesla haters and short sellers that will continue to push their narrative and try to convince us and others that the Model 3 is a crappy car. Sure, it’s wrought with a plethora of early issues and it just plain sucks for sure. C’mon, Tesla builds this GD POS in a tent, so it must be a lemon, right? Um … no, not at all. Yes, some early copies may have been a wee bit sketchy (as is true of nearly every first-year model), but now, everything points to this being a first-rate automobile in every sense of the definition.Additional Tesla Model 3 Reviews: As the truth continues to come out, we’re of the opinion that you should really buy a Model 3 if you can find a way to afford it. And, we’re far from alone on that opinion. Yes, Tesla vehicles are not cheap. Most people couldn’t afford one if they tried (myself included). But, if there’s any way you can make it work, push forth.
