Governor Wolf Signs Bill Clarifying Changes to Child Protective Services Law

first_img Bill Signing,  Government That Works,  Press Release Harrisburg, PA – Governor Tom Wolf today signed a bill aimed at clarifying recent changes made to the Child Protective Services Law.Act 15 — House Bill 1276, sponsored by Representative Katharine Watson, revises last December’s enactment by creating additional definitions to clarify who needs to obtain clearances for working or volunteering in programs that supervise children. These amendments will make it easier for high school students to engage in workplace learning experiences.The bill also pushes back the date for which volunteers are required to begin getting clearances from July 1, 2015 to August 25.  On June 10, Governor Wolf announced fee waivers for volunteers seeking background checks.# # # Governor Wolf Signs Bill Clarifying Changes to Child Protective Services Law July 01, 2015center_img SHARE Email Facebook Twitterlast_img
